Our ASDAN Environmental Short Course is a comprehensive program developed in partnership with The Wildlife Trust. The course covers aspects ranging from investigating our atmosphere to learning how to conserve wildlife and fosters knowlegde and love of the natural world. This online prerecorded course consists of over 50 engaging lessons that cover a wide range of topics related to animal care. Each lesson will take approximately a week to complete, depending on learner's speed. There is no time limit on the course. Students will have full access to all powerpoint slides used in the course, as well as additional lesson resources to enhance their learning. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to join weekly online group Zoom trouble shooting sessions, where they can ask questions and receive additional support. Upon completion of the course, students will receive full moderation and assessment, and an ASDAN certification to showcase their achievement.
The Short Course is split into six modules:
- My environment – review and awareness raising
- The atmospheric environment
- The built environment
- The natural environment
- The wider environment
- My environment – managing and monitoring
The course is aimed at learners aged approximately 11+
