Important Course Update
This Science course is currently accredited through ASDAN. SENshine Tutoring is gradually transitioning to the AQA Unit Award Scheme, which will introduce new unit-based science courses from September.
ASDAN courses remain available to enrol on for a limited time, with the final enrolment date of 13 April 2026. This allows learners plenty of time to complete their course before the final completion deadline of 1 April 2027.
Learners enrolling now will still receive the full course experience, including all lessons, activities and the opportunity to gain their ASDAN certificate on successful completion.
Alternatively, families may choose to wait for the new AQA science units launching later this year, where learners gain certificates for individual science topics as they progress
ASDAN Science Course
Developed in association with the Centre for Science Education, this calm, structured and fun science programme is designed specifically for neurodivergent and SEND learners.
The course combines hands-on experiments, expert-led virtual STEM visits, and step-by-step learning to help learners build a strong foundation in key science concepts — while keeping curiosity and enthusiasm alive.
Everything is broken into short, manageable steps, allowing learners to engage confidently and at their own pace.
