The live sessions are not simply extra talks. They have all been carefully chosen to support specific ASDAN Animal Care challenges and help learners connect what they are studying with real-world animal care.

The live session does not replace the ASDAN evidence, but it gives learners real examples, expert knowledge and experiences they can draw on when completing their challenge.

Learn your way

There is no single “right” way to complete this course. Learners can work in the way that suits them best.

• Start at any time throughout the year and work completely at your own pace.

• Pause, replay and revisit lessons whenever needed.

• Take breaks and return to the course when ready.

• Choose how to show learning — written work, photos, audio, video, presentations or practical evidence.

• Live sessions are optional, and camera/microphone can stay off.

• A supporting adult can scribe where appropriate, as long as the ideas and responses are the learner’s own.

The aim is not to make every learner work in the same way. It is to give them the support and flexibility they need to succeed.
