Canine First Aid & Health Awareness

Live Vet-Led Webinar Series  Starting June 2026!

Canine First Aid & Health Awareness is a four-week live online webinar series designed for learners who love dogs and want to learn how to care for them safely and responsibly.

The sessions are led by a qualified veterinary surgeon and focus on developing health awareness, observation skills, and the confidence to make calm, informed decisions.

The series is suitable for a wide range of learners aged 11 plus — from enthusiastic animal lovers to those who are curious about how veterinary professionals care for animals.

What is a webinar?

A webinar is a live online learning session delivered via Zoom. Learners join from home and watch the tutor explain the topic using clear PowerPoint slides.

Learners will not have audio or cameras during the session and may take part by typing questions in the chat or responding to optional on-screen polls or quizzes.

Webinars can be accessed on laptops, PCs, tablets, or mobile phones.

What Learners Will Gain

By the end of the series, learners will:

  • Feel more confident in recognising when a dog may require veterinary attention

  • Develop an understanding of common canine injuries and key first aid principles

  • Learn how to identify changes in a dog’s health through careful observation, without the need for specialist equipment

  • Practise making calm, safe, and informed decisions in realistic, real-life scenarios
