Canine First Aid & Health Awareness is a 4-week live online webinar series designed for children who love dogs and want to understand how to care for them safely and responsibly.
What is a webinar?A webinar is a live online learning session delivered via Zoom. Learners join from home and watch the tutor explain the topic using clear PowerPoint slides.Learners will not have audio or cameras turned on and may take part by typing questions in the chat or responding to optional on-screen polls or quizzes.Webinars can be accessed on laptops, PCs, tablets, or mobile phones.
Session topics
The webinar series includes four live sessions:
Session 1 – When Is It an Emergency?
Understanding urgency, recognising red flags, and knowing when to seek veterinary help.Session 2 – Injuries & First Aid Basics
Common injuries, first aid principles, and staying safe around injured dogs.Session 3 – Home Health Checks (Observation Skills)
Learning what ‘normal’ looks like and how to spot changes in behaviour, movement, and appearance.Session 4 – First Aid & Care Planning
Preparing for emergencies, building confidence, and calm decision-making.

Length: Approximately 50 minutes per session
Webinar dates are: 5th March, 19th March, 26th March, 2nd April
Equipment: No specialist equipment required
